INVITATION

Dear Sirs,

The City Hall of Trofa (Youth and Sport Division) is co-organizing with Cooperativa de Ginástica Olímpica da Trofa the TIGAF-Trofa, the 2nd International Tournament in Women Artistic Gymnastic of Trofa, that will take place on July 5th of this year.
We aim to maintain the same quality of last tournament and in so doing hope to become a nationally and internationally recognized event. It is our intention to adapt the pedagogical component in accordance with the athlete’s age. It is also our aim is to combine quality technical opportunities for each athlete with times of social interaction and sharing. We believe this moment is a great opportunity to promote, worldwide young, competitive athletes who aim to participate in the Olympic Games in 2012 or 2016.We are pleased to invite you to this event. It will be an honour if you kindly accept the invitation. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

“II International Tournament in Women Artistic Gymnastic in Trofa”

Delegations:
Delegations must be made of:4 athletes (2 juniors or 2 juvenile/initial participants)2 coaches and 1 judge. One of the trainers/coaches or judges, must have accumulated responsible functions within the committee.
(the inclusion of other individuals into the committees, depends on conditioning factors and prior acceptance giving by the committee.)

Solicitation conditions:
The transportation costs of these committees to the hotel (for those travelling by bus) or from the airport (for those travelling by plane), are the responsibility of each participating Delegation.
The transportation costs between the airport and the hotel, accommodation, food and transfers between the diverse places, which are all involved in the Tournament Program, are the organization’s responsibility.

Licenses and security conditions:
It is each participating Delegation’s responsibility to guarantee, with all precedence, all forms of licenses and authorizations that might condition the border entries into Portugal. Each participating Delegation must also be bearers of the respective Federation licenses and have a proof of insurance document for the practice of sports.

State of Health:
The organization declines any form of responsibility over the absence of good health conditions that might be apparent in any one of the committee’s members.Naturally, all forms of possible health care will be guaranteed in situations that might appear during the stay in Portugal.

Competition:
The International Tournament will be made up of two distinct trials, each with differentiated results – “Trial A” and “Trial B”. These referred trials will take place on the same day.

Age Scales:
Trial “A” - Juvenile/Initial participants
(athletes born in 1998, 1997. 1996)
Trial “B” - Juniors
(athletes born in 1995 and 1994)
Teams;
Trial “A”- Team made up of 2 juvenile athletes or 2 initial participants or 1 juvenile and 1 initial participant.
(The organizing club can participate with various teams)
Trial “B”- Team made up of 2 junior athletes.

Trial Characteristics:
The trials are classified in teams, a general individual classification and simultaneously with apparatus. Each Delegation can opt for an integral participation, participation with 4 athletes (2 juniors and 2 juveniles or initial participants) or can participate with only one athlete per trial, competing only for an individual classification or by participating with two athletes but in the same age scale.The right is reserved to the Tournament Cup, only to the teams that are made up of 1 junior and 1 juvenile or initial participant, with the addition of both athletes’ points dictating the final score to be awarded.
Prizes, trophies and diplomas;The teams classified in first, second and third positions, in each trial, have the right to a trophy per team and an individual medal.There will also be a medal awarded to those athletes who are classified in the first three positions in apparatus.The Tournament Cup will be awarded to the committee which achieves the highest classification, by the addition of the individual’s classification for the best athlete in each category (best junior and juvenile or initial participant athlete), previously indicated by those who will constitute a team.All athletes, coaches and judges have the right to a participation diploma.

Point Awarding Code:
At a later stage, the Club Participants will receive documents with the specific Point Awarding Code, which will include the Tournament Characteristics as well as the height of certain apparatus. Based on F.I.G. Code.

Enrolment:
Enrolment deadline – 5 June 2009
*At the time of enrolment, it will be necessary to full in a complete enrolment form.

General participant conditions:
In this initial phase, the admissions criteria, determines that the number of foreign Delegation participants, are hereby restricted to 10 countries. Serialized according to order of enrolment arrival and giving participation preference to, at least, one Delegation per continent, if this be the case.

Tournament Program:
3 July – Arrival of committees and training group
(when possible)
4 July – Official reception and complete training
5 July – Competition and farewell dinner
Committee departure
6 July – Committee departure

Responsibility Terms:
Upon the enrolment act, each committee, automatically accepts to, entirely respect this Technical Regulations hereby presented, as well as all other emanated orientations given by this Commission.
